Short answer
MondialFax accepts PDF files only, up to 5 pages and 10 MB. A Word document, a photo or a scan must first be saved or exported as a PDF, which every computer and smartphone can do.
PDF, and only PDF
The form accepts a single format: PDF. It is the format that guarantees your document arrives as you saw it — same layout, same fonts, same number of pages — whatever software produced it.
The file must be no larger than 10 MB and no longer than 5 pages. Avoid password-protected or damaged PDFs: their pages cannot always be read, and the file may be rejected.
Converting a document to PDF
Word, LibreOffice, Pages and Google Docs export to PDF from the File menu (“Save As” or “Download”). On both Windows and macOS, the print dialog also offers “Save as PDF” or “Microsoft Print to PDF”, which works from any application.
A JPG or PNG image converts the same way: open it, then print it to PDF.
Shrinking a PDF that is too large
A PDF over 10 MB almost always contains high-definition images. Rescan in black and white at 200 or 300 dots per inch, or use the “Reduce File Size” option in macOS Preview: for a fax, which transmits in black and white, the loss is invisible.
